2004 - The Chocolate Grotto: adventure
A more sporting and playful view of the 2004 coulée. A complete exploration!
What you'll experience:
Before diving in, an easy approach walk takes us to the edge of the ocean, where the lava flows into the sea. This is an opportunity to learn about the formation of the island and its volcanoes, and to see the typical lava flow vegetation. We'll then enter the tunnel via its most downstream entrance: Le Salon Rouge. Low passes, ramps and small climbing steps will punctuate the crossing.
Inside, volumes, concretions and specific colours make this exploration a visual experience you'll remember for a long time!
